Presentation
The National Aerospace Research and Development Commission, CONIDA, is the lead agency for space activities in Peru.
Each year, the Institution renews its commitment to the country to devote all their skills to the development of aerospace technologies in favor of National Development.

"Institution innovative, national benchmark in the space field, generating scientific knowledge, present in the international space community."
Functions
According to Decree Law establishing CONIDA (DL. N°.20643), the purpose and functions of the institution are:
- Promote and develop peaceful purposes, research and studies aimed at the country's progress in space;
- Control studies, research as well as theoretical and practical space work with natural or legal persons of the country and abroad and to propose its implementation with national or foreign.
- Subscribe cooperation agreements with affine institutions, private ,domestic or foreign, in accordance with the laws, and propose subscriptions with national public or foreign entities, as well as with national and international organisms and administrative offices.
- Encourage exchange of technology and the training of new specialists.
- Propose the national law applicable to space.
- Perform or promote studies and theoretical and practical work entrusted to it and participate in development studies and related activities of socio-economic caracter, to achieve the welfare and safety of the Nation.
- Study and report on space related queries and other related activities formulated by the state and private domestic or foreign.
